The computer literacy and technology courseware at the kindergarten through second grade levels assumes that students know very little about computer components and technology. Students begin with simple identification of computer parts such as the monitor, keyboard, CPU, mouse, speakers, printers, and so forth. They are then instructed on the basic operation of these components. By the time children complete the second grade, they will be demonstrating basic skills using these components to perform tasks such as using a word processor to create a multimedia report and printing the report on a printer.

The computer literacy and technology courseware at the third through fifth grade levels assumes that students have obtained the knowledge and skills from the technology curriculum taught at the K-2 levels. However, schools purchasing an unlimited license have access to curriculum at all grade levels and students may need to perform lessons at earlier grade levels.

This portion of the curriculum takes students from basic keyboarding skills through the creation of multimedia projects that are comprised from a wide variety of resources.
